Simon Reid Reimagines Sara’s “Marquee Sign” From Critically Acclaimed Album, Words

Nashville, TN – June 1, 2018 – Edinburgh-born and Nashville-based engineer/producer Simon Reid has reimagined Sara Evans’ smoldering hit “Marquee Sign,” giving the ACM and CMA Award-winning country music star’s single an EDM, Hot AC and Pop/Funk twist with three remixed versions of the song available now at

“Marquee Sign” is originally found on Evans’ critically acclaimed album Words, produced by the singer/songwriter along with Mark Bright. The song, written by Evans with Jimmy Robbins and Heather Morgan, warns of love gone wrong. Reid’s Red (EDM), Yellow (Pop/Funk) and Blue (Hot AC) remixes showcase various sonic and rhythmic elements of the song while shining a spotlight on its emotional lyrics and Sara’s soaring vocals.

“My roots are in Country and Bluegrass, but I’ve always been a fan of multiple genres of music and grew up being exposed to and loving Pop, Rock, R&B, and so much more,” shared Evans. “I truly believe that a great lyric can be taken in different directions and really love what Simon did with showcasing three totally different sounds from one original song. I hope my current fans and new fans alike have fun with these remixes!”

Dancer Charity Lynn Baroni, who has appeared in countless music videos, concert tours and TV appearances with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy PerryFlo Rida and more, choreographed Simon Reid’s Yellow remix in a video captured with performers from Millenium Dance Complex in Nashville. This wasn’t Baroni’s first time teaming up with Evans — she also choreographed the multi-platinum star’s music video for “Marquee Sign.” Learn the dance at
