I have enjoyed your music for years now and have admired your family values but today read your comment on CMT OFFSTAGE about wanting another child but "I DESPISE PREGNANCY" and your comments on surragates pregnancy and the Kidman-Urban life choice to have another child was to me very insenitive and not very funny. If humor was what you were aiming for, may I say you didn't get laughter from me. Sara those comments were very disappointing and SHAME on you........Your fan mselaine1.....

I know you didn't like Sara's comments but I just have to defend her here alittle. I have heard her say she "despises pregnancy" a number of times BUT it's because Sara gets SO SICK for the entire 9 mos. She doesn't despise pregnancy as a whole and the meaning of it. She just plain hates being pregnant. Too bad there was no humor in it for you. She has talked alot at her shows about the whole deal! It was funny then to most of us listening! She can deliver a line with great instincts! Hopefully you won't stay disappointed for long.

I understand where your at however all it takes is one well repected artist to start a barrage of unhumorest comments. Sara is so beautiful and talented that there is just no need for this kind of senseless entertainment. Please go to the radio broadcast where she made the comments and just hear the 2 DJ'S and the humor they found in the subject. I love her music and I can touch home with it but still very appauld about the interview....Thank you......mselaine1

Wendee you're right on. I've heard her mention this before too. I'm sure you and I have heard most of Sara's interviews.
It's funny these complainers have never contributed here before (and probably never will again). They register an account to say what they really don't like about Sara and then crawl back under a rock. They're trolling here looking for responses. In that respect I liked the old forums better. People had to pay to be members and post as part of the fan club. Trolls don't like to pay to complain. Hopefully Craig can change this "blog" system or bring back the forums for us.

I agree, Wendee. I'm not sure what's so offensive about Sara saying she'd rather have a surrogate than go through pregnancy again. If that's what she wants and she can afford it, why not? It's just a different option. And Sara always manages to bring a humorous edge to any topic. I'm certain she wasn't trying to make light of any kind of troubles other couples have in order to need a surrogate; she was just saying that she'd like to use that option, too. She certainly wasn't trying to hurt anyone, and I don't think she needs to make any kind of apology for what she said. Hopefully anyone who disagrees with her can realize that it's just her own opinion and her own thoughts.

Sara was one of my first
Sara was one of my first finds in country music, right after Alan Jackson. I love her music and am happy she's back. However, after reading her comments on the CMT blog today I'm really disappointed in her, personally. I'm not going to judge her on the whole surrogacy thing and the reasons why she'd consider it. But what really disgusted me was using Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman as her yardstick on the subject. It was callous and insulting. Keith and Nicole (along with thousands of other couples) had extreme difficulty conceiving and carrying a baby full term. This is why they chose the surrogacy route. Sara's flip attitude about it and what Keith/Nicole and other couples go through was inexcusable. I really think she owes them and many others an apology. She's a good person, I know and I'm sure she didn't set out to insult anyone. But she did. I trust she'll own up to it and put this to rest.

Well, I've been in Sara's Fan Club a few years now and I just don't remember you or this A1cntrfan? ever posting anything so I'm certain you are here to just dog Sara. TRUE Sara fans would not comment on this topic because if you have been to her shows you would know how light she talks about the subject and would realize her true intent. With that...all are entitled to their own opinions. You should know that MOST of us here will give you a run for your money if you are going to dog our #1 girl!
